    Even people who have very healthy clean diets can have Type 2 Diabetes.

    There are over 14 different causes of blood sugar climbing higher and higher. If you have not cleaned up your diet yet it is a good place to start. Eliminate eating sugar and soft drinks, and shift your main food staples to vegetables and meat rather than simple starches.  Very similar to the Paleo diet is the best for blood sugar control.
